Syed Salman Gilani has passed away in Lahore after a prolonged illness. According to his family, the announcement regarding his funeral prayers will be made later.
Reports state that he had recently undergone bypass surgery. However, he could not fully recover afterward, and his condition worsened due to pneumonia. After remaining unwell for several days, he returned to his Creator.
Syed Salman Gilani was widely known for both his humorous and religious poetry. His unique style of recitation would leave audiences thoroughly entertained. He also wrote extensively on Khatm-e-Nabuwwat, the virtues of Ahl-e-Bayt, and the companions of the Prophet (PBUH). Many of his na’ats were recorded by well-known na’at reciters.
May Allah grant him a high place in Jannah and give patience to his family.
