Web Desk: A government girls’ primary school in the remote Loi Shalman area of Khyber district has fallen into severe disrepair, raising concerns about the safety of students and threatening to disrupt their education.
The Government Girls Primary School in Shin Pokh, Malik Imroz Kali, has reportedly deteriorated to the point where parts of the building resemble ruins. The condition has sparked fears that the aging structure could give way and cause an accident while classes are underway.
The deteriorating infrastructure has also raised concerns among local residents about the impact on girls’ access to education in the remote area.
Local residents have urged Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and senior education officials to take immediate steps to repair the school building and provide the facilities needed for students.
They said authorities should ensure that the school offers a safe learning environment so female students can continue attending classes without facing risks from the damaged structure.
Residents warned that continued neglect could further disrupt the education of girls in the area and affect their academic prospects.
They called for urgent rehabilitation of the school building and improvements to its basic educational facilities, saying timely action could help prevent a possible accident while protecting the students’ educational future.
