Saudi Arabia-Türkiye-Pakistan Makkah Alliance a Positive Step: Iranian President

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that the Makkah Alliance is a positive development and that Iran is ready to play a role in uniting Muslims.

In an interview with Arab media, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said he was unaware of the details of the decisions made under the alliance. However, he said the development could prove to be an important step towards bringing Muslims closer together and establishing Islamic unity.

“If Muslims unite, Iran is ready to take part in this process,” he said.

Pezeshkian said Muslims should strive for unity instead of dividing into two groups and fighting one another. Such initiatives could help strengthen Islamic unity.

“Beyond being Arab, Turkish or Iranian, we are Muslims, and in the eyes of Allah, a person’s superiority is determined not by nationality but by piety,” he said.

The Iranian president urged Muslim countries to unite beyond national and ethnic identities and follow Allah’s commands.

He said that if Muslims sit together and try to resolve their differences, divisions based on being Arab, Turkish or Iranian would no longer matter, as they are all Muslims.

Pezeshkian added that humanity was created from a man and a woman and divided into different nations and tribes. He said Muslims should sit together, resolve their differences and follow Allah’s commands.
