National cricket team batter Fakhar Zaman says several changes have been made to white-ball cricket. The team combination is being prepared keeping the World Cup in mind.
Speaking at a press conference at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, the left-handed batter said the players had recently played first-class cricket. Playing red-ball cricket makes ODI cricket seem easier, he added.
He said there is a clear difference between domestic and international cricket. He had recently fielded for 150 overs in first-class cricket. First-class cricket makes players mentally and physically stronger, he added.
Fakhar Zaman said fans appreciate players when they perform well. Every player wants to perform, but good performances do not come every day.
Speaking about the mega event, he said the team was aware that Pakistan had not won a major tournament for several years. The team had reached finals and semi-finals, but its focus was now on the World Cup.
Fakhar Zaman said several plans had been discussed within the team, but he could not reveal all of them. Preparations for the World Cup were underway, and the tri-series would help the team develop its combination.
