To mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, the Government of Pakistan has issued a commemorative coin worth 75 rupees.
According to State Bank of Pakistan, the special coin will be available to the public from May 25, 2026, through the counters of the State Bank Banking Services Corporation.
The initiative has been taken to highlight the long-standing friendship and mutual cooperation between the two countries.

On the anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, the Chinese Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that Pak-China relations have stood the test of every challenge over the past 75 years and remain a shining example of bilateral cooperation.
According to the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, China is ready to begin a new chapter with Pakistan and further strengthen and deepen bilateral cooperation based on a shared future.

Speaking at a ceremony marking 75 years of Pak-China diplomatic ties, Shehbaz Sharif said it was a pleasure to see Chinese representatives attending the event. He congratulated the Chinese President, Prime Minister and leadership on the occasion.
The Prime Minister noted that Pakistan was the first Muslim country to recognize China, adding that Pak-China friendship is a unique example in the world and has stood firm through every test of time.
He said China has always stood by Pakistan like a rock during difficult times, whether floods or other disasters. He added that Pakistan has consistently supported the One China policy and that the friendship between the two countries has grown stronger over time.
Shehbaz Sharif described China-Pakistan Economic Corridor as a practical manifestation of the Chinese President’s Belt and Road vision, saying it is vital for Pakistan’s economy and employment generation.
He added that the people of Pakistan have always appreciated China’s support during difficult times and remarked that Pak-China friendship is “deeper than the sea, higher than the Himalayas, and sweeter than honey.”
The Prime Minister further said that both countries will continue advancing on the path of development through joint efforts, while Pakistan is also playing an important role for peace in the region, with China supporting Pakistan’s peace initiatives alongside other countries.
