Amid heightened tensions along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border and recent cross-border incidents, residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have voiced strong support for Pakistan’s armed forces, stating that any external aggression will be met with a firm and decisive response.

The statements come at a time when security operations have intensified in border areas following reported clashes between Pakistani forces and Afghan Taliban elements. Authorities have maintained a high alert along sensitive sectors, while officials say the situation remains under close monitoring.

Citizens recalled that during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979, Pakistan stood by the Afghan people and provided refuge to millions fleeing conflict. Large numbers of Afghan refugees were hosted across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh, where communities shared resources and support for decades.
