In the Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan, an Indian army officer died after a tank sank in the canal during a regular military exercise.
According to the police, two soldiers were present in the tank at the time of the incident; one officer managed to escape, and the other failed. As a result, he drowned in the Indira Gandhi Canal.
During the routine army exercise, armed vehicles and tanks were practicing when a tank got stuck in the canal with two soldiers inside the tank.
Police, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and civil defense teams reached the spot and recovered the body of an Indian officer after several hours.
