He further said he has directed the military to maintain the blockade and instructed armed forces to remain prepared for every possible situation.
Trump indicated that diplomatic efforts are moving in a positive direction, expressing optimism that renewed negotiations could help ease tensions. He said while dialogue remains the only way, the military has been ordered to stay vigilant as developments continue to unfold.
He also reiterated that security measures would remain intact alongside diplomacy, saying Washington was pursuing negotiations while ensuring preparedness for any contingency. The remarks come amid heightened focus on whether diplomatic engagement can lead to a broader breakthrough.
Pakistan has already been in contact with the major partners, urging them for ceasefire and de-escalation.
Trump has previously expressed great confidence in Pakistan and lauded its role in working for regional peace and stability. The next venue for this historical round of talks will be Islamabad.
