YouTube has introduced new artificial intelligence (AI) features that will transform how users discover content on the video-sharing platform as well as how videos are created.
The company announced these features at its annual Made on YouTube event.
One of the key features is the Ask YouTube feature.
The feature will allow users to ask questions while watching videos.
The tool will also assist with product searches and provide content recommendations based on users’ preferences.
The feature can also be used through voice commands while watching YouTube on TV.
YouTube is also introducing a feature called Custom Feeds.
With this feature, users will be able to customize their home pages according to their interests, moods or habits through simple text prompts.
The company said the feature will show videos and updates that users want to see through new recommendations.
The feature will initially be available to users in the United States.
A new AI tool is also being introduced for content creators.
The tool will help users complete all stages of video editing through text prompts.
YouTube is also introducing an AI-based comment moderation feature, while tools for automatic translation in live streams and protection against misuse of users’ faces or voices will also become available soon.
