Pakistan Television batter Muhammad Shehzad has set the record for the fastest century in Pakistan’s first-class cricket during the third round of the President’s Trophy Grade-I First-Class tournament.
Representing PTV, Muhammad Shehzad produced an aggressive batting display against Kingsmen Academy at Diamond Cricket Ground in Islamabad on Thursday, completing his century off just 49 balls.
With this, Muhammad Shehzad set the record for the fastest century by any Pakistani batter in first-class cricket. Shehzad scored 114 runs off 62 balls, including 12 fours and 8 sixes.
Muhammad Shehzad broke the record previously held by former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq, who scored a century off 56 balls against Australia in 2014.
Mohammad Shehzad’s superb century is also noted as the eighth-fastest century in first-class cricket history, highlighting the exceptional speed of his innings.
It is worth mentioning that this was Muhammad Shehzad’s sixth century of his first-class career.
