ISLAMABAD: The government has announced a reduction in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel, providing relief to consumers.
According to a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs3.39 per litre, bringing its revised price to Rs 328.56, while the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been cut by Rs4.07per litre. The revised price of Diesel now stands at Rs385.86.
The revised prices have come into effect immediately, allowing consumers to purchase petrol and diesel at lower rates than before.
The government determines petroleum product prices by taking into account international crude oil prices, the exchange rate of the Pakistani rupee and other relevant factors.
The latest prices have been fixed on the basis of OGRA’s recommendations, and the notification has been issued accordingly. The revised rates will remain in effect for one day only.
