Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, has shared some great news with the beneficiaries.

During an ‘E-Kachehri’ (online public forum), Senator Rubina Khalid announced that the next quarterly installment of the Benazir Kafaalat Programme will be released soon. This time, the disbursement will be facilitated through an ‘interoperability’ system.

According to the BISP Chairperson, under this new system, beneficiaries will be able to easily collect their funds from any authorized ‘Pay Point’ belonging to six partner banks: Habib Bank, Habib Microfinance Bank, Bank Alfalah, JazzCash, EasyPaisa, and the Bank of Punjab.

She explained that as soon as the funds are transferred into a beneficiary’s account, an SMS will be sent to their registered mobile number. Upon receiving this message, beneficiaries can collect their money from any nearby authorized Pay Point—at their own convenience, on any day, and at any time.

Senator Rubina Khalid advised beneficiaries that, after collecting the funds, they will receive a second confirmation message from the bank detailing the amount withdrawn. She urged female beneficiaries to keep both messages safe and cautioned them not to hand over their mobile phones to any retailer, agent, or other individual when collecting their funds.

During the ‘E-Kachehri’, the Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme engaged directly with the beneficiaries and listened to their concerns. He stated that the interoperability facility will make it easier for beneficiaries to access various services, providing them with improved, more effective, and convenient amenities. This facility has been extended to the public by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

During the ‘E-Kachehri’ (online public hearing), he attended to a total of 24 phone calls. In response to the complaints raised by the beneficiaries, he directed the relevant officers and staff to ensure immediate redressal and the resolution of these issues on a priority basis.
