The long-protected empire of illegal wealth and political privilege around JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman is finally under the scanner.
In a major double crackdown, two of country’s top enforcement bodies the FIA and CDA have moved against Amanullah, Fazlur Rehman’s closest aide, exposing the nexus of financial fraud and land mafia operating under the cover of religion and politics.
FIA tightens noose over financial irregularities
The FIA Commercial Banking Circle has summoned Amanullah to appear and record his statement in an ongoing inquiry into massive financial irregularities. He has been directed to appear on November 4 with complete documentary and digital evidence.
Sources confirm this is not an isolated case. Multiple individuals linked to Fazlur Rehman’s close family and inner circle are now facing active FIA investigations for suspected money laundering, benami transactions and unexplained wealth, the very wealth that has long raised questions about how a so-called religious leader lives like a feudal lord.

CDA exposes illegal empire in Islamabad
Simultaneously, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued a formal notice for illegal constructions and encroachment on state land at the heart of Islamabad.
The notice has been served to Amanullah, son of Muhammad Younis, who is identified as the owner of the house in G-6/4, Street No. 83, Islamabad, the same house where Maulana Fazlur Rehman is residing.
The CDA has pasted the notice at the residence and ordered the removal of illegal structures within 15 days, including a security guards’ cabin and generator installed on CDA land. The authority has also flagged construction violations inside the premises, including an additional kitchen built in violation of Islamabad Capital Territory Building Control Regulations.
The CDA notice, dated October 30, is addressed directly to Amanullah as the property’s owner and occupant.
Pattern of Power Abuse
What was presented as a simple residence has turned out to be a symbol of entitlement. While ordinary citizens are demolished for an inch of violation, Fazlur Rehman’s network has brazenly occupied government land, built illegal cabins for private militias, and installed generators on state property, all under political protection.
This dual action by the FIA and CDA proves what the public has long suspected: behind the religious rhetoric lies a well-oiled machinery of financial bungling, land grabbing, and misuse of power. The net is now closing in, and Amanullah is just the first domino.
