The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department, in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), has opened online registration for the auction of favourite vehicle number plates.According to officials, interested citizens can register online until September 30 to bid for their preferred registration numbers.The e-auction app allows citizens to participate in auctions for registration numbers of motorcycles, motor cars and commercial vehicles.PITB Chairman said the e-auction system would provide citizens with a transparent platform to bid for registration numbers of their choice.The system will also allow users to view details of successful bidders through the e-auction app.The initiative aims to make the process of obtaining preferred vehicle registration numbers more transparent and convenient for citizens.

How to register

Create an Account: Download the e-Auction app or visit the portal. Sign up using your CNIC, mobile number, and email address, then verify your account with the One-Time Password (OTP).Select Your Number: Log in, browse or search for your favorite/attractive number (such as triple or quadruple digits), and enter your vehicle’s chassis number carefully from your sales invoice.Pay the Fee: Generate a Payment Slip ID (PSID) via e-Pay Punjab and pay the required participation fee or reserve price through mobile banking, an ATM, or a designated bank.Participate in Bidding: Once authorized after payment verification, join the real-time online auction during the active bidding window to win your chosen plate
