Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhray

Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has stated that terrorism is not limited to tribal areas but has spread across the entire country, warning that Pakistan will no longer merely “carry coffins” but will deliver a strong response.

Addressing a Senate session, the minister said that terrorism is being carried out in Pakistan from Afghan territory and that the government possesses verified evidence in this regard. He added that this evidence has also been presented to Afghanistan.

Chaudhry further stated that Pakistan has repeatedly requested the Afghan Taliban regime to prevent cross-border infiltration from Afghan soil, but no positive response has been received.

He said that militant groups cross into Pakistan through the Pak-Afghan border and carry out terrorist activities. According to him, these militants have safe havens and training centers inside Afghanistan, and Pakistan has formally identified these locations and informed the Afghan authorities.

The federal minister also alleged that the Afghan regime has taken no effective action against militants linked to Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Following the minister’s speech, the Senate session was adjourned until 11:30 a.m. the next day
