A new feature has been introduced in Gmail for users, aimed at making the process of logging into different online accounts easier.
According to a report, Gmail has introduced a feature called Copy Code.
The feature has been introduced for Android and iOS devices.
This feature will make it easier for users to log into other accounts using two-factor authentication (2FA) codes.
The purpose of two-factor authentication is to keep online accounts secure. However, when account verification codes are received through Gmail, opening the email and copying the code usually takes some time.
This new feature will provide a solution to this delay.
Through the Copy Code shortcut, the 2FA code will appear directly in phone notifications.
Users will be able to copy the code with a single click and paste it into their account.
The report stated that the feature works with verification emails from multiple services.
According to the report, the feature is currently available only to phone users and has not yet been introduced to the web version.
The feature is particularly useful for users who frequently access multiple online services requiring two-factor authentication, reducing the steps involved in entering security codes.
