The official Pakistan-made match ball used in the FIFA World Cup 2026 is equipped with advanced tracking technology, making it necessary to charge it before every match.

This new football contains a special embedded sensor that records every movement of the ball, its position, and every interaction with players in real time.

This advanced system will be connected to 12 high-tech cameras installed in stadiums, which will collect data related to the ball and players 50 times per second.

The collected information will help VAR officials make more accurate decisions regarding offside and goal-line incidents, thereby reducing the chances of controversial calls.

Reports indicate that compared to the ball used in the 2022 World Cup, this time the sensor has been directly embedded inside one of the panels of the ball.

Despite the advanced technology, the ball’s weight has been kept almost the same, and players will not be able to feel the presence of the sensor during play.

Experts say this innovation will take the use of technology in football to a new level.

It is worth noting that this football, designed by German company Adidas, is manufactured by a Pakistani company called “Future Sport” based in Sialkot.

The ball has been named “Trionda.” The word “Trionda” is a combination of “tri” (three) and the Spanish word “onda” (wave).

The ball features prominent red, blue, and green colors along with symbolic emblems of each host nation.

Maple leaves represent Canada, an eagle represents Mexico, and stars represent the United States, while the overall pattern symbolizes unity.

This Pakistani company has previously manufactured footballs used in the 2014, 2018, and 2022 FIFA World Cups.
