Web Desk: Six Khwarij were killed during an intelligence-based operation by security forces in Thall area of Hangu district, according to security sources.
Security forces launched the operation after receiving intelligence about the presence of Khwarij at a suspected hideout in the area.
Acting on the information, troops targeted the location and carried out an operation against those present inside the facility. Sources said six Khwarij were at the site when security forces moved in.
The operation resulted in the deaths of all six Khwarij, according to the sources.
Meanwhile, several security personnel were reportedly seriously injured during the operation.
Officials have not yet provided further details about the number of security personnel wounded or the circumstances surrounding the reported injuries.
Following the action, security forces launched a search operation in the surrounding area to check for any remaining Khwarij and secure the location.
The operation is expected to continue until the area has been fully cleared, sources said.
