Petition Seeks Restoration of Ali Amin Gandapur as Chief Minister

The Federal Constitutional Court has fixed for hearing on September 14 a petition challenging Sohail Afridi’s election as Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The petition against Sohail Afridi was filed by Sher Afzal Marwat, in which his election as Chief Minister has been challenged, while the restoration of Ali Amin Gandapur as Chief Minister has also been sought.

The petitioner, Sher Afzal Marwat, maintains that Sohail Afridi was nominated as Chief Minister by the convicted founder of PTI, Imran Khan.

The case will be heard by the Federal Constitutional Court on September 14, where the court is expected to proceed on the maintainability of the petition and other legal points.
