Pakistani film actress Sahiba Rambo has revealed the advice she gave her son, Ahsan Afzal Khan, regarding nepotism in the showbiz industry.
During a recent podcast appearance, the actress discussed her son’s career and the possible role of nepotism in his professional journey.
She said she had told her son that no matter how successful he became in the showbiz industry, people would always link his achievements to his parents.
Sahiba revealed that the family decided to move to Karachi to support her son’s career. Despite having established themselves in the film industry, they still had to work hard to build a place for themselves in television dramas.
According to the actress, they do not have close connections with Karachi-based producers that could make it easier to secure work. As a result, they have to make continuous efforts to establish themselves in the drama industry.
She added that Ahsan also has to earn every opportunity through his own efforts, yet people continue to perceive his career through the lens of nepotism.
Sahiba said that parents’ fame can help artists gain opportunities, but they must still prove their talent and work hard to establish themselves in the industry.
