Pakistan-China Institute Chairman Mushahid Hussain Syed said Field Marshal Asim Munir deserves credit for bringing the Pakistani, Turkish and Saudi leadership together in Tehran.
Mushahid Hussain Syed and former Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry appeared on Geo News’ programme Capital Talk.
Mushahid Hussain Syed further said that Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Iran six times following the Islamabad Agreement, which made this historic meeting possible.
He said Field Marshal Asim Munir deserves credit for bringing the leadership of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye together in Tehran. He added that the entire Pakistani nation deserved congratulations on this historic meeting, as it had been made possible because of Pakistan.
Former Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry said the countries involved in the Makkah Pact had done well to reach out to Iran. However, he said he wanted to present the other side of the picture, warning that Israel would attempt a major attack on Iran.
