Web Desk: Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to introduce its standard Xiaomi 18 smartphone in China later this year, with a new leak suggesting the device could bring flagship-level cameras, a large battery and Qualcomm’s next-generation processor.
The company recently unveiled the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max in China, but left the entry-level model out of that launch. According to a new report, Xiaomi could announce the regular Xiaomi 18 separately in December.
The Xiaomi 18 is expected to feature a 6.4-inch M11 display with a 1.5K resolution, according to information attributed to Weibo tipster Panda is Bald.
Under the hood, the smartphone is tipped to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, positioning it as a high-end device despite sitting below the Pro models in Xiaomi’s lineup.
However, Xiaomi has yet to officially confirm the processor or other hardware specifications.
One of the most notable details in the leak is the camera configuration.
The standard Xiaomi 18 could reportedly carry a 200-megapixel primary camera built around a 1/1.28-inch sensor. It may be paired with another 200MP sensor serving as a periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
Meanwhile, a 50MP ultrawide camera is also expected to complete the rear setup.
If these specifications materialize, the regular Xiaomi 18 would share a broadly similar high-resolution camera approach with the recently announced Pro variants.
The upcoming smartphone is also tipped to feature a 7,200mAh battery, which would give it a substantial power reserve compared with many current flagship devices.
The leaked specifications also point to support for 100W wired charging, although Xiaomi has not confirmed the charging technology or battery capacity.
The latest leak again points to December as the expected launch window for the standard Xiaomi 18 in China.
For now, however, the company has not announced an official launch date or confirmed any of the specifications attributed to the device.
As a result, the reported hardware should be treated as unconfirmed until Xiaomi releases more information.
If Xiaomi introduces the Xiaomi 18 in China in December as reported, an international rollout could follow in early 2027.
The global launch may take place during the first quarter, although Xiaomi has not disclosed an international release schedule.
Pakistan could also receive the new flagship series around the broader global rollout, but there is currently no official confirmation regarding local availability, pricing or launch timing.
