Ruet-e-Hilal committee meeting on February 18 to sight Ramzan Moon

Islamabad — The meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will take place on February 18 in Peshawar for the sighting of the Ramzan moon.


According to reports, the meeting will be chaired by Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan, Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad. A decision and official announcement regarding the sighting of the Ramzan moon for 1447 AH will be made during the session.


Members of the central and zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Peshawar will attend the meeting. Representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, including Director General Hafiz Abdul Quddus, along with officials from Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), the Pakistan Meteorological Department, and the Ministry of Science and Technology will also participate.


Chairman Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad has appealed to the people of Pakistan to make special arrangements to sight the moon of Ramzan and prayed that the country may begin fasting on the same day nationwide this year.
