When is the Ramadan moon likely to be sighted?

Web desk: According to the Meteorological Department the new moon of Ramadan 1447 Hijri will be born on February 17 at 5:01 PM.

The department states that there are strong chances of sighting the Ramadan moon on February 18. In Sindh the last time for moon sighting will be 7:24 PM.

Officials further shared province wise sighting timings. In Punjab the moon can be observed until 7:08 PM while in Balochistan the final sighting time is 7:47 PM.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the moon sighting window will remain open until 7:13 PM. In Azad Jammu and Kashmir the time will end at 6:58 PM. In Gilgit Baltistan the sighting time will last until 6:53 PM.

The Meteorological Department also noted that on the evening of February 18 the weather across most parts of the country is expected to remain clear or partly cloudy which may support moon sighting efforts.
