Web Desk: Over the next two days the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has forecast rain and snowfall in most districts of Punjab.
According to a PDMA spokesperson that on December 20 and 21 snowfall is expected in the mountainous areas of Punjab. Rain and snowfall are expected in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, and the Potohar region during this period.
In other districts of Punjab rain is also expected in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sargodha, Khushab, Faisalabad, and Hafizabad, while Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Sialkot, and Jhang may also receive rainfall. Toba Tek Singh is likely to experience rain on December 20 and 21.
PDMA has said expected rains will help reduce smog levels and fog across the province. The officials advised citizens to use masks to protect themselves from smog-related health issues.
Director General PDMA has urged tourists visiting Murree to take precautionary measures in view of the expected snowfall.
