When is rainfall expected in Pakistan? MET office predicts

Web Desk: Pakistan’s Meteorological Department said a western weather system will enter the country late Saturday, bringing widespread rainfall and snow over the next several days.

Weather System Arrives Tonight

According to the Met Office, western winds will begin affecting parts of the country tonight. Officials expect the system to remain active through December 16, potentially impacting both lowland and mountainous regions.

Rainfall and Snow Expected

Forecasters said multiple regions are likely to receive rain and snowfall as the weather system moves eastward. Snowfall is expected in northern mountainous areas from Sunday through December 15, with heavier spells possible at higher elevations.

Islamabad and Rawalpindi to See Rainfall

Moreover, the Met Office said Islamabad and Rawalpindi could receive rain on Sunday and Monday. Light to moderate showers may disrupt traffic in some areas.

Snowfall in Murree and Galiyat

In addition, snowfall is expected in Murree and Galiyat on Sunday, drawing interest from tourists but potentially creating hazardous road conditions. Authorities are advising travelers to plan ahead and remain cautious.
