Islamabad: Leaders of the PTI like-minded group have announced their decision to join the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP).


According to sources, an important development has taken place in national politics, especially in Gilgit-Baltistan, where a new political alignment of former governor, chief minister, and ministers is being witnessed.


On the occasion of their visit to the residence of Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, the inclusion of key political leaders from Gilgit-Baltistan into the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party was announced, presenting a new political scenario.


During a press conference at the residence of IPP President and Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, leaders of the PTI like-minded group formally announced their joining of the IPP.


On this occasion, former Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan Jalaal Hussain Maqpoon and former Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan joined the IPP, while former Opposition Leader in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly, Captain Shafi, also became part of the party.


Former ministers Fathullah Khan, Shamsullah Haq, Haji Shah Baig, and Dilshad Bano were also among those who joined. Similarly, Khan Akbar Khan, Maulana Sultan Rais, and Iman Shah from Gilgit-Baltistan also joined the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party.


Minister of State and senior IPP leader Aoun Chaudhry and Parliamentary Secretary Gul Asghar Baghor were present at the occasion. IPP Punjab President Rana Nazir Ahmed Khan, General Secretary and MPA Shoaib Siddiqui, and other leaders also attended.


Speaking in Islamabad, IPP Chairman Aleem Khan said that politics is not new to them. He added that during the campaign in Gilgit-Baltistan, the entire party would stand with these colleagues.
