Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has made another important decision regarding the Prime Minister’s Special Relief Scheme in light of feedback received from across the country.
Under the Prime Minister’s directives, motorcycles, Qingqi rickshaws and rickshaws purchasing less than five litres of petrol will also receive a discount of Rs500 per week through a single token. One token will be issued weekly, with a total of four tokens issued in a month.
Under the scheme, users of vehicles with engines up to 800cc will continue to receive a subsidy of Rs100 per litre on 10 litres of petrol every 10 days, with three tokens for 10 litres each issued per month.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had previously announced that registration messages would be made completely free of charge for individuals eligible to receive relief under the scheme.
The prime minister had also directed that 20-year-old motorcycles, rickshaws and Qingqi rickshaws be included in the Fuel Relief Scheme, and implementation of the directive has begun.
All motorcycles, rickshaws and Qingqi rickshaws registered after January 1, 2006, are now eligible for registration under the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is personally overseeing every aspect of the relief scheme.
The prime minister has directed that the scope of beneficiaries be expanded and that subsidized petrol be provided with dignity, ease and without interruption.
