Prime Minister Announces Major Petrol Price CutPrime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced an 80-rupee per liter reduction in petrol prices for the next month.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that he once again addresses the nation in challenging times, as the Gulf war continues and global oil prices are soaring.

He added that national resources are limited, and the recent surge in oil prices has severely impacted even the world’s strongest economies.

The Prime Minister emphasized his understanding of the struggles of ordinary Pakistanis and noted that before making this announcement, thorough consultations were held with the Finance Minister, Petroleum Minister, and the national leadership.

The Presidential House meeting included the President, all four provincial Chief Ministers, the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, and the Field Marshal.

Support and Subsidies Announced:

Small trucks: PKR 70,000 per month

Large trucks: PKR 80,000 per month

Public transport: PKR 100,000 per month

Freight vehicles: PKR 100 per liter subsidy

Small farmers: PKR 1,500 per acre assistance

Railways: Economy class fares will not be increased

The Prime Minister also thanked the provincial Chief Ministers for their commitment to providing resources promptly for this national initiative and expressed hope that the regional conflict will end soon and peace will be restored.
