Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that in the past, political differences were turned into hostility, and people were encouraged and motivated for intolerance in politics, creating chaos and disorder in the country.

Speaking to the media in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz said that she has no objection to anyone sitting outside a jail in protest, but their real responsibility is to serve the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and they are accountable to the people of their own province.

She said that since the announcement of Basant, many people’s businesses have grown, and people from all over the world are coming to Lahore to celebrate Basant. Hotels and guest houses in the city have been fully booked.

The Punjab Chief Minister further said that people from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also coming to Lahore to sell Basant-related items, and the government wants people to enjoy Basant in a completely safe manner.
