Pakistani cricketers retain key positions in latest ICC rankings

Latest ICC rankings

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released its latest player rankings, with Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed retaining the second spot in both the ODI and T20I bowling rankings, while India’s Shubman Gill has reclaimed the No. 1 position in the ODI batting rankings.


According to the updated rankings, New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell is ranked second among ODI batters, while Pakistan’s Babar Azam is sixth. Salman Ali Agha is placed 16th and Fakhar Zaman 37th in the ODI batting standings.


In the ODI bowling rankings, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan remains at No. 1, followed by Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed in second place. Shaheen Shah Afridi has slipped one position to eighth, while Haris Rauf has climbed one place to 19th.


In the T20I batting rankings, Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan has moved up one place to secure the second position. Meanwhile, India’s 15-year-old batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi has made a remarkable jump of 230 places to reach 48th.


The T20I bowling rankings remain unchanged at the top, with Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan holding the No. 1 spot and Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed staying second.

The latest rankings is a testimony to Pakistan’s continued strength in international cricket, particularly in the bowling on the bowling side, with numerous players featuring among the world’s top performers. Pakistan’s batters also retained notable positions across the ODI and T20I rankings.
