The Pakistani song Alfaaz has secured a place on Spotify’s Top 50 Global chart, joining tracks by some of the world’s most renowned singers.
The song, performed by Zain Ali, Zohaib Ali and Hamza Malik, ranked 39th on the global chart on Wednesday, one position below One of the Girls by The Weeknd and Jennie.
On the same chart, Olivia Rodrigo ranked sixth, Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj were at 15th, Harry Styles at 28th, and Michael Jackson at 34th.
The song, featuring a blend of Urdu and Punjabi, continues to gain popularity and has also topped Spotify’s Top 50 charts in Pakistan and India.
Alfaaz also secured second place on the UK’s Official Asian Music Chart, where songs by Indian artists feature prominently. During its successful run, the track surpassed Straight Up by MXRCI and Karan Aujla.
Studio Giraffe, which was involved in producing the song, described the achievement as exceptional for Pakistani music. The studio said the success demonstrated how far a song could travel when it found its audience.
Last year, the song Majboor by Shehryar Rehan and Zoha Waseem also topped Spotify’s Pakistani chart and reached second place in India.
According to the studio, the two songs represent different artists and musical styles, but their success demonstrates how quality music can reach new audiences.
