Former Pakistani model and actor Abdullah Ejaz has revealed why he left modeling.
Abdullah Ejaz was considered one of the prominent male models in Pakistan’s fashion industry. He won a Lux Style Award in 2006. He later moved from modeling to acting and appeared in several Geo TV dramas, including Piya Mann Bhaye, Nail Polish, Tera Mera Rishta, Silsilay and Hum Sab Umeed Se Hain. He also appeared in Tamasha Season 3.
Abdullah Ejaz married his university classmate, Rabia, and the couple has two children. He currently works as a commercial director.
Speaking about his struggles, Abdullah Ejaz said that he is currently directing commercials because he began suffering from severe sciatica pain.
He explained that the problem started around a year and a half ago and the pain became so severe that he could not even sit. Because of the intense back pain, he had to eat while lying down.
Abdullah Ejaz said the period was extremely difficult for both him and his family, particularly his wife Rabia, who also went through a very challenging time.
He said he does not know what caused the condition, adding that it may have been due to excessive exercise. However, the problem developed suddenly and caused him prolonged pain.
Praising his wife, Abdullah Ejaz said Rabia is a strong woman who comes from a military family. Calling her an “iron lady,” he said she took excellent care of him during his difficult period.
