Web Desk: A team from the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) won first place at the International Pacesticking Competition 2026 held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom, according to Pakistan’s military on Friday.
The Pakistan Army contingent secured the overall team trophy and captured the competition’s top individual honors, including the Best Pace Sticker and Best Driver awards, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
The nine-member PMA team was led by Major Haider Gulzar, the academy’s adjutant. A total of 16 teams from various countries participated in the annual military competition at Sandhurst, one of the world’s most recognized military training institutions.
According to the military’s media wing, the victory highlights the professional standards, discipline and training maintained by the Pakistan Army.
Moreover, the achievement adds to a series of recent international accolades earned by Pakistani military cadets.
Last month, Pakistan Army cadet Sardar Arsam Abbas was named the overall best foreign military cadet at the Royal Military College Duntroon in Canberra, Australia. The distinction is awarded to the highest-performing international cadet across all areas of military training.
The ISPR said the award recognizes exceptional performance, professionalism and commitment throughout the training program.
Meanwhile, the latest success at Sandhurst underscores Pakistan’s growing presence in international military training competitions and reflects the performance of its cadets on global platforms.
