Web Desk: Pakistan’s military spokesperson on Wednesday rejected India’s accusations of state-sponsored terrorism and said the international community had “seen the reality” during recent tensions, while asserting that Pakistan acted with restraint and responsibility in a multi-domain security environment.

Speaking at a briefing, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said India’s narrative against Pakistan had been “completely exposed” during what he described as “Marka-e-Haq” and another military episode, “Bunyan-un-Marsoos.”

He said the world had witnessed which country acted responsibly in the region, adding that Pakistan prioritised stability despite heightened tensions.

Referring to the Pahalgam incident in Indian-administered Kashmir, Chaudhry said an FIR was registered within minutes and claims were made that attackers came from outside India. However, he said no concrete evidence had been presented.

He questioned the effectiveness of Indian intelligence agencies, asking how they could claim prior knowledge of individuals allegedly entering from long distances while failing to prevent the incident.

He added that both international observers and voices within India were still seeking answers about the motive and perpetrators.

Chaudhry said India had repeatedly accused Pakistan of terrorism, but argued that such claims had been discredited during recent events.

He alleged that India continued to portray itself as a “net security provider” in the region, but said the international community had “seen the reality” during Marka-e-Haq.

At the same time, he said Pakistan had demonstrated restraint and prevented escalation, despite what he described as provocative statements and actions from the Indian side.

He further said that India used a recurring pattern of blaming external actors whenever it faced internal or external challenges, including incidents involving minorities and unrest in regions such as Kashmir and Manipur.

India has consistently rejected such allegations and maintains that Pakistan supports cross-border militancy, a claim Islamabad denies.

Moreover, the DG ISPR said Pakistan’s armed forces maintained a strictly professional posture throughout the period, avoiding political rhetoric and focusing on operational readiness.

He contrasted this with what he described as politicisation of military narratives in India, alleging that political messaging was increasingly reflected in official statements from Indian leadership.

Chaudhry said Pakistan responded with restraint at every stage, despite what he called aggressive rhetoric from across the border.

He added that no Pakistani military official used provocative language based on political statements.

Furthermore, he said Pakistan gained significant operational experience during recent conflicts, which reflected the evolving nature of modern warfare.

According to him, warfare now extends beyond traditional battlefields into air, land, sea, cyber, information, and psychological domains, affecting both urban and rural populations.

He said Pakistan remained fully prepared across all these domains and had maintained readiness before, during, and after the conflict.

Chaudhry said Pakistan made clear during Marka-e-Haq that national defence was non-negotiable and that it possessed the capability to respond to any aggression.

Additionally, he referred to the Kashmir issue as an internationally recognised dispute backed by United Nations resolutions, saying it remained unresolved despite various developments on the ground.

He said the world was aware of ongoing human rights concerns affecting minorities in India, including Muslims, Christians and others.

Concluding his remarks, the DG ISPR said Pakistan remained united and committed to defending its sovereignty, adding that “Marka-e-Haq” had reinforced the message that no aggression or conspiracy against the country could succeed.
