The nation is celebrating the 149th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Founder of Pakistan, on Thursday (today).

Quaid-e-Azam’s leadership, vision, and guiding principles continue to inspire Pakistanis in facing modern challenges. He demonstrated conviction, perseverance, and hard work, laying the foundation of the country. His principles of democracy, justice, and equality remain central to Pakistan’s development and must continue to guide its institutions and policies.

Throughout the day, ceremonies will take place across the country to honor Quaid-e-Azam’s vision and extraordinary leadership. A grand changing of the guards’ ceremony will be held at his mausoleum, while the Quaid Residency will host a guard of honour and flag hoisting ceremony.

Quaid Muhammad Ali Jinnah changed the map of the subcontinent by creating a separate state for the Muslims of India. Born on December 25, 1876, into a merchant family in Karachi, he received his early education at Sindh Madressatul Islam. Later, he earned a law degree in London and began his political career by joining the Indian National Congress.
