Multan Sultan Criticise PCB

Lahore: Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Multan Sultans on Thursday criticised the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for issuing a legal notice to team owner Ali Tareen, calling the move “regrettable” and “narrow-minded.”

In an official statement, the franchise said that after taking charge of Multan Sultans, Ali Tareen invested billions of rupees in developing the team and cricket infrastructure across Pakistan. “Ali Tareen personally bore losses of over seven billion rupees and established cricket academies nationwide, creating new opportunities for young players,” the statement said.

The franchise added that all of Tareen’s public statements were made in the best interest of the Pakistan Super League. “It is deeply disappointing that the PCB administration considers constructive criticism a crime,” the statement read, adding that such behavior “reflects the current management’s intolerance.”
