Razaullah Equated Tim Southee’s Record by Hitting Nine Sixes in His Test Debut Innings

Pakistan’s new surprise package, Razaullah, made headlines with an outstanding performance on his Test debut in the Birmingham Test. He bowled at speeds of 91 miles per hour, dismissed four batters and then also impressed with a blistering innings with the bat, proving his ability.
Razaullah completed his half-century in just 43 balls, which is the fastest fifty by a Pakistani on Test debut. He scored a lively 81 runs off 63 balls, including nine sixes and four fours.
By hitting nine sixes in his Test debut innings, Razaullah equalled Tim Southee’s record. He also equalled Corbin Bosch’s world record by scoring 81 runs in his debut Test innings.
Razaullah’s spirited batting after impressive bowling took him to new heights of fame. His fearless brand of cricket won over fans in his very first Test.
Born in Mardan on April 5, 2005, Razaullah earned a place in Pakistan’s Test team after just a few years of domestic cricket and immediately won the hearts of cricket fans.
Razaullah bats right-handed and bowls right-arm fast. A key feature of his career is that he is not merely a traditional tailender; when required, he has the ability to change the course of a match with aggressive batting in the lower order. His pace, swing and seam movement in domestic cricket, along with his powerful stroke play, quickly brought him to the attention of the national selectors.
In 2026, Razaullah got the opportunity to play for the Rawalpindi franchise in the Pakistan Super League. He made his PSL debut against Lahore Qalandars on April 18, 2026. He was given an opportunity in two matches during the tournament and took three wickets, with his best bowling figures being 2 for 45.
