Lahore High Court (LHC) judge Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani has resigned from his position due to health problems following a recent surgery and personal reasons. He has sent his resignation to the President of Pakistan.

According to private television reporter Waqar Satti, other factors behind his resignation included not being assigned important cases, feeling repeatedly ignored and being posted to the Rawalpindi Bench.
