Pakistan’s renowned singer Javad Ahmed has spoken about his married life, not having children and societal pressure, saying that his family never pressured him over not having children.
During a recent conversation, the singer expressed his views on the subject of multiple marriages.
He also discussed not having children and explained his own feelings about the situation, how his family reacted, and what he thinks about marrying a second time solely for the sake of having children.
According to Javad Ahmed, his family has always had progressive views, which is why he never faced any pressure from his parents or family over not having children.
He said that he had never considered this situation a problem for himself. However, the singer also drew attention to the social attitude under which some men marry a second time when they do not have children from their first marriage.
The singer said that although men are permitted to marry more than once, he believes it is impossible to treat two women with complete fairness.
On this basis, he expressed the view that instead of marrying more than once, people should prefer to maintain a single marital relationship and spend their lives with the same partner.
