LAHORE: The second International Boxing Championship officially began in Lahore with a grand opening, marking another significant step for professional boxing in Pakistan.
This global-level event is being organized in collaboration with the World Boxing Association, while the Pakistan Army, the Government of Punjab and Fauji Fertilizers are jointly hosting the championship.

The key “Fight for Glory” contests will take place at the Jinnah Sports Complex, Lahore Garrison, where 44 professional boxers from 15 countries are set to compete.
A total of six Pakistani fighters and 38 international boxers will enter the ring to contest various titles. Participants from the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Korea, Australia, Ireland, the Philippines, the Netherlands and several other nations have already begun arriving in Pakistan.
Boxers, officials and representatives from the World Boxing Association are also attending the championship. Foreign players expressed their happiness upon arriving in Pakistan and commended the strong international performances of Pakistani boxers.
The hosting of this international boxing event is being widely welcomed as a positive step toward promoting sports in the country.
