Actress and singer Saba Azad has reacted to the order directing actor Imran Khan to leave India for participating in a protest organised by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP).
Sharing details of the news, Saba Azad wrote in the caption of her post that this was “absolute nonsense.” The report stated that Imran Khan had been asked to leave India by October 28 for participating in the CJP protest.
In its notice, Mumbai Police gave Imran Khan, the nephew of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, a deadline of October 28 to leave the country.
Imran Khan, known for films such as Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, is a US citizen and holds an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card.
Imran Khan was briefly detained last Saturday after participating in a CJP protest in Mumbai.
He is expected to approach the Bombay High Court on Monday to challenge the notice issued by the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO). A petition will be filed on his behalf through his lawyer, Advocate Zulfiqar Memon.
