Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan has quietly discontinued sales of the popular seven-seater Honda BR-V in the country.
According to the report, the BR-V has been removed from the list of vehicles on Honda Pakistan’s official website.
PakWheels claimed that when Honda was contacted for confirmation, the company confirmed that the Honda BR-V is no longer available to customers.
However, Honda has not yet announced a replacement for the BR-V, nor has it disclosed the reason for discontinuing the vehicle.
It remains unclear whether the decision was made due to low sales, the company’s strategy regarding new products, or changes in its plans for future crossover vehicles.
Following the discontinuation of the BR-V, another important question is whether Honda Pakistan will introduce a new seven-seater vehicle or not.
Honda launched the BR-V in Pakistan on April 21, 2017, making an entry in the market as first locally assembled seven-seat SUV in Honda Atlas’ lineup.
The vehicle came equipped with a 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine and was available in two variants after its launch.
Honda’s official corporate history also identifies the BR-V as one of the models launched in Pakistan in 2017.
When it entered the Pakistani market, the BR-V priced approximately Rs2.23 million for the i-VTEC version, while the i-VTEC S variant was priced at around Rs2.33 million.
The SUV was assembled locally and featured a huge proportion of locally sourced parts.
In October 2019, Honda introduced a modified version of the BR-V in Pakistan, adding the facelifted model to its domestic lineup.
The decision to discontinue the BR-V brings its decade long presence in Pakistan to an end. Honda Atlas’ current range consists of the HR-V, City and Civic, while the BR-V has now been removed from the company’s active model lineup.
