According to Israeli media, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a secret visit to the United Arab Emirates on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly asked UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during their meeting to deny reports that he had warned Israel of the possibility of a Hamas attack shortly before October 7, 2023.
According to the Associated Press (AP), Netanyahu arrived in the UAE on Sunday, where he met President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The UAE news agency has also confirmed that UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday.
The meeting reportedly included discussion of a report published earlier this month by Israeli newspaper Haaretz, which claimed that the UAE president had warned the Israeli prime minister of the threat of a possible attack shortly before Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attack.
AP, citing sources familiar with Netanyahu’s visit who spoke on condition of anonymity, reported that the two leaders discussed the Israeli newspaper’s report and that Netanyahu asked Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed to deny it.
The international news agency also contacted the UAE Foreign Ministry for comment on the matter. The ministry declined to comment but said there are direct channels of communication with Israel through which all relevant intelligence information is exchanged.
AP also contacted the Israeli prime minister’s office to confirm or deny the matter, but no immediate response was received to the request for comment.

According to Israeli media, he arrived in Abu Dhabi the same day and met UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. There has so far been no official report regarding his return to Israel.
According to Israel’s Channel 12, Netanyahu spent around four hours in the UAE, while some reports put his total stay at approximately six hours.
It should be noted that Netanyahu had threatened legal action over the Israeli newspaper’s report. However, no independent confirmation has emerged regarding the claim that the UAE president had provided advance warning of the alleged attack.
