Web Desk: England have named a 15-player Under-19 squad for a four-match Youth ODI series against Pakistan, with the opening game scheduled for Wednesday at Arundel Castle Cricket Club.
Surrey all-rounder Ralphie Albert will captain England throughout the series after impressing with his recent performances. The four-match contest will run from Sept. 9 to Sept. 16, with the teams also meeting at venues in Guildford and Wormsley.
Albert will take charge of a young England side that includes nine players from the team that recently defeated Pakistan in the Under-19 Test at Arundel.
Albert and fellow spinner Jack Nelson played decisive roles in that victory, claiming all 10 Pakistan wickets in the fourth innings between them to secure the win.
Wicketkeeper Joe Moores, meanwhile, will feature only in the first Youth ODI before joining up with the England Lions.
England’s regular Under-19 head coach Mike Yardy will not oversee the series because of his commitments with the senior England team during the third Rothesay Test against Pakistan.
Neil Killeen will instead lead the Under-19 coaching staff for the four-match series. Former England white-ball international Sam Billings has also joined the coaching setup for the Youth ODIs.
Pakistan will be led by Farhan Yousaf, who captained the side to the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup title in December 2025.
That recent success gives Pakistan confidence heading into the series, while England will face a touring squad featuring several players who have already gained experience in international youth cricket.
Shahid Anwar will serve as Pakistan’s head coach during the tour.
Pakistan’s 15-player squad comprises Abdul Qadir, Abdul Subhan, Ahmad Hussain, Aliyan Salman, Hamza Zahoor, Hasnain Abbas Dar, Hayam Khan, Jahangir Bilal, Mohammad Sayyam, Mohammad Huzaifa, Niqab Shafiq, Rizwanullah, Umar Zaib, Usman Khan and captain Farhan Yousaf.
England’s squad for the Youth ODI series is:

The series begins at the historic Arundel Castle Cricket Club before moving to Guildford and then Wormsley for the final two matches.

The four-match series will provide both teams with an opportunity to assess their emerging talent ahead of future international assignments, with Pakistan entering the contest as the reigning ACC Under-19 Asia Cup champions.
