The dates for the 12th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have been announced.
According to an official statement, the PSL will be held from March 18 to May 2 across five to six cities in the country. The teams to which players will be assigned will be decided at an auction on January 23.
A meeting of the PSL Governing Council, chaired by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, decided that the process of direct player signings would take place from today until November 23. A condition has also been set that players signing directly must not have played in the previous two PSL seasons.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the 11th season concluded in front of record crowds. He added that the PSL would be taken to more cities this time, as it is the biggest platform for cricket in Pakistan.
The tournament schedule was finalized following consultations with key stakeholders after the PSL Governing Council meeting in London on September 1, 2026. Owners and representatives of all eight franchises attended the meeting.
The announcement will accelerate the process of signings, player retention announcements, the trade window, and the player auction. Dates for those activities, along with the full match schedule, venues, and ticketing arrangements, will be announced later.
