In the border area of Angoor Adda, South Waziristan, alleged shelling from Afghanistan has once again injured five civilians, including a woman and four children.
According to reports, a mortar shell fired from across the border landed on the houses of local residents Karim Khan and Rehmatullah, causing a powerful explosion and spreading fear in the area.
The injured include children aged 13, 10, 8, and 3 years. All victims were immediately shifted to DHQ Hospital Wana for treatment.
Local residents expressed deep sorrow and anger over the incident and demanded effective measures to ensure the safety of people living near the border.
Sources say that the Pakistan Army targeted the firing posts with small and heavy weapons in response, after which Afghan Taliban personnel reportedly fled their positions.
It is worth mentioning that a few days ago, three people were also injured in a similar firing incident in the same area.
