A two-member bench headed by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi heard the case. The court directed that Salman Safdar should visit the jail and submit a detailed written report regarding the condition of PTI founder Imran Khan and the facilities available to him.

The Chief Justice instructed the Attorney General that no obstacles should be placed in Salman Safdar’s meeting. The court also sought a report from the Superintendent Jail regarding PTI founder Imran Khan.

The Chief Justice stated that Salman Safdar should present his report after the meeting tomorrow, after which the court will conduct the next hearing the day after. Subsequently, the hearing was adjourned until February 12.

During the proceedings, the Attorney General presented a report covering the period from August 5 to August 18, 2023, informing the court that it pertained to Imran Khan’s detention in Attock Jail.

At this point, lawyer Latif Khosa came to the rostrum and stated that he was also being denied access to meet Imran Khan. In response, the Chief Justice said that the court has already issued its order and that Salman Safdar would proceed for the meeting today.
