Suicide attack on Dajal check post, suicide bomber identified Afghan national

Bakkar suicide attack


Two security personnel were martyred and four others injured in an explosion at an inter-provincial check post in the Dajal area of Bhakkar district.

According to initial reports, the blast occurred suddenly, causing panic in the area. Security forces immediately cordoned off the site and began collecting evidence.


The suicide bomber, identified as Afghan National Hayat Ullah son of Abdul Sammi traveled to JCP from DI Khan and was trying to enter Punjab, but upon detection blew himself up, martyring 2 brave policemen while 4 got injured. Three civilians also got seriously injured.


Punjab and KP Police immediately mounted Joint search and clearance operation and cordoned the area to secure public. During the operation 3 accomplices of suicide bomber have been sent to hell while 7 facilitators have been arrested.


Those martyred in the attack were identified as Faheem (324/C) and Shehbaz Langri, who were serving as drone operators (65/C). Both personnel lost their lives at the scene.


The injured include Muhammad Arshad (312/C), Muhammad Ali son of Riaz Hussain Shah (a polio worker), Muhammad Zubair son of Muhammad Farooq, a resident of Chaman Mohalla Bhakkar (also a polio worker), and Muhammad Hasnain son of Muhammad Amin, aged 30, a resident of Muhammadi. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.


Further Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
