Doha: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with a delegation of the Qatar Businessmen Association, where both sides agreed to maintain close ties.
According to the official statement, the Prime Minister appreciated the role of the Qatar Businessmen Association in strengthening Pakistan–Qatar trade relations. During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further expanding cooperation in trade and investment. They also agreed to continue close coordination and to facilitate stronger links between business communities and individuals of both countries.
The Prime Minister invited the Qatar Businessmen Association to invest in Pakistan’s logistics, energy, and technology sectors.
He also briefed the delegation on reform measures introduced to facilitate investors. On this occasion, Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani expressed interest in exploring investment opportunities in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister stated that Pakistan attaches great importance to the private sector as a key pillar of bilateral partnership.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense in Doha, where they discussed bilateral cooperation in the fields of defense and security.
According to media sources, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening defense cooperation and expanding collaboration. Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister expressed his country’s interest in deepening bilateral defense partnership. The meeting also included discussions on the situations in Iran and Afghanistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also met with Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade, where both sides discussed bilateral trade and economic cooperation. They agreed to convene a meeting of the joint task force during the holy month of Ramadan.
